While the fight against fossil fuel extraction and infrastructure remains as current as ever, Climate Justice Montreal also organizes against False Solutions to Climate Change. The Hoodwinked in the Hothouse design and editorial team has crafted a zine that covers a wide breadth of these false solutions and also established a path for organizing around real solutions. Beyond reading and sharing the HitHH zine, CJM has built a workshop that highlights false solutions such as HYDROELECTRICITY, CARBON CAPTURE/PRICING, NATURAL GAS and REAL SOLUTIONS, including examples from around so-called Quebec. While the current state tries to label Quebec the “Battery of North-America”, they are miserably failling, but also wasting funding that could go to the many real solutions that exist on the land and across grassroots organizing.
